Contact lenses Vs Heat

A 21 year old guy, he used wear a pair of contact lenses, during a barbecue party. While barbecuing he stared at the fire charcoalscontinouslyfor 2 - 3 minutes. After a few minutes, he started to scream for helpand moved rapidly, Jumping up & down. No one in the partyknew why he was doing this ? after sometime people rushed to hospital and admitted him. The doctor said he'll be blind permanently because of the contact lenses he had worn. Contact lenses are made by plastics, and the heat from the charcoal is melted his Contact lenses. PLS DO NOT WEAR CONTACT LENSES WHERE OVERHEATING AND FLAMES ARE CONCERNED... OR WHILE COOKING....! Friends if you feel the information is is important.. Please pass this to your near & dear. Oh my, how awful. Many thanks for sharing this with us, I shall bear this in mind for next summer if I know anyone who wears contact lenses and is going to be doing a bar b q

Thank you for sharing this information. I used to wear contact lenses, but i got tired of putting it on, putting it off, and cleaning and all those stuffs that you are to do, as told by the doctor. Luckily, I haven't tried wearing my contact lenses where there is heat. I went back to my glasses, i feel much better with it, though with a geeky look.. but who cares anyway.. ^___^
