How about your great Obama coins and decorative plates? How about your ho!ho!ho! ornaments and throw pillows? What about your "its time" Obama clock? Who in the heck cares? You know whats disgusting about all this. People who were on the Obama wagon screaming that they supported him for reasons other then color...I cannot recall any president elect before to have throw pillows with pictures of him and his wife with the slogan "civil leaders" plastered all over it.Nor have I ever seen people so fast to compare someone like Michelle Obama to Jackie-O.What exactly has Michelle done in her whole twenty minutes of fame to be compared to Jackie or anyone? Now Obama is being compared to Kennedy,are you freaking kidding me? Could Americans kiss these peoples butts a little bit more? He is the president elect and god willing he will fulfill all the echoing promises from past presidents for once and I hope he does.I just fear that Americans have put way too much faith in a man they expect to fix everything, he has even said himself that it could take longer then four years for all his promises to be kept.

Sad sign of the times. If there's a buck to be made, you can count on some enterprising individual to capitolize on it. It was just a matter of time. I wonder who will be the first to trademark the Obama image or name to get exclusive royalty rights to it. If Obama isn't carefull, he may lose the right to use his own name, lol.
I'm waiting for the McDonalds happy-meal Obama toys to come out.

Is this something new? Is there something wrong with the enterprising individuals to capitalize on it? Whats so sad about? What is so sad about someone making a living? In my opinion its one of the things that makes America what it is. Often times the difference in the have's and have nots.
If you look hard enough you can find something wrong with everything. My energy is just better spent elsewhere.

Not only could it take more than 4 years, it will take more than 4 years. If an citizen is expecting all of this mess to be cleaned up overnight they are totally dislussional. Everything Obama, is just business people looking to make a buck, whether we want to face it or not history was made when this man was elected.
Michelle is a very intelligent woman that has accomplished things in her life. When she is compared to Jackie O it is the way she carries herself and her family values. Obama has characteristics of Kennedy, he is a great speaker as Kennedy, he brings lots of hope to the United States. All people will remind some people of another person what is so worng with that? As for all these things being made with the Obama's on it hell that is the American way lately see an ooportunity and seize it, especially in this economy. Sell it while its hot.
Of course people have much faith in him the United States is in a spiral and they are being very very supportive and hoping that he can level it all off and make this country grow once again.

I agree that we have to make our expectation realistic.
I'm not surprised at the merchandising. America is all about material goods and this is just another symptom of the disease. He probably can't sue because he's a public figure, but it'd be nice if he would tell people not to waste their money on crap like that.
