How do you generate traffic to your blog?

I am in need of some tips and advices on how I can generate traffic or more page views to my web log. How do you get ratings for your blog? Do I have to join a blogger community so I could gain all these benefits? What is the best community for a neophyte blogger like me?

There are a lot of ways from where you can generate traffic to your blog. One of the best way of generating traffic to your blog is to promote your blog in traffic exchange sites. There are many traffic exchange website out there that helps you to get traffic to your blog which in turn requires you to visit other websites. There also some websites that gives you free credits as a sign up bonus. Other ways are to just have your blog in other forum signature which will allow members to have a look at your blog. Also you can try adding your blog banner in your mylot profile.

hi Vince!! thanks for responding to my query.. I have joined already some traffic exchange sites a while ago and hope they would turn out well.. I'm also taking into consideration what most people say about joining forums and inserting the blog site as my signature..

I have posted my blogs on several lists of Blogs like BlogCatalog and the like but what I have foudn to be very effective is to post messages in forums and leave your blog address as your signature. Make sure the forum you participate in are forums related to your blog of course.
