Yesterday my colleagues organised a wine tasting session at a vineyard after our working hours. Although I do like wine, unfortunately I could not attend. I have to help my son in his studies. Have you ever had to cancel outings due to other personal commitments? © ronaldinu 2008

Hello ronaldinu I very rarely go on outings because of my commitments to my kids. I once got a babysitter in so that I could attend the school's AGM because I thought that was important. The last outing I went on I took the kids with me because it was a family outing and we all had a good time which is important to me too.

Yes I have had to cancel outings etc due to personal commitments, but my family and children come first, people will have to understand that

Family first for me before any other endeavor. I will not sacrifice a job or a commitment for a family just for an invitation to dine or to party or outing with friends. I believe it is the best way to keep the family intact. I don't leave my need of my family unattended just because I have to party around or be with friends and take some time out.
