Is a white lie still a lie?

Yes but for me it is a good lie so no one gets hurt.

A lie is a lie no matter what colour you paint it. White lies are usually not considered as bad as other types of lies and can even be justified at times. In my opinion it's better to just keep quiet instead of lying but sometimes it's necessary to bend the truth a little to spare some feelings of others.
