Have you received your Christmas bonus?

Not yet, but I believe I will on Friday. Every year we get gift cards to Walmart based upon how long we have been at our company that way everyone even the newbies get a gift card. Our christmas party is friday and there will be door prizes usuall ranging from a tv to digital cameras. And we play games for some of the prizes. They feed us some good homemade lasagna and we actually laugh and have a good time. I can't wait. I work that day but I plan on spending some time at the party after work.

instead of a bonus, we get the week off between christmas and new years off of work (we shut down for that week but we still get paid) and that is our bosses gift to us, but i heard that they are not sure if we are going to do that this year because we are so busy in our business.

I am an independent contractor so I don't get a regular payroll check like my boss does. There is another lady who works like I do. I doubt we will get a bonus unless it comes from our boss' own money. I've been here for 3 years and I feel like I get crapped on a bit cause they dont take taxes out and I can't get benefits. I am working Christmas Eve, day after Christmas and New Years Eve so I think I should get some kind of compensation for that.
