Does It Take Experience For People To Understand?

There seem to be an awful lot of people who like to pass judgement of one kind or another on other people. Sometimes it seems that down the road those who have done this end up living through the same kind of situation that they judged others for. Do they learn from the experience or do they continue to pass judgement afterwards? One of those judgements seems to be against the disabled who have to accept social security benefits. Another one is those who judge people who need welfare assistance. Yes let me tell you that I realize there are those who are out there scamming the system and they seem to keep getting away with it. But there are honest people out there who are really trying and just need a boost here or there. People can lose their jobs for all kinds of reasons including health and disability. It is one of my pet peeves that others who currently are doing alright think that it is their job to make those who are receiving benefits feel bad about it. I have received so many forwarded emails over the years condemning the people who need benefits and receive them. Whether you say "what you sow you will also reap" or "what goes around comes around" it means the same thing. Don't judge others unless you, too, want to be judged, because it will happen eventually. I thank God for people who do understand and who do care enough about others that they are willing to be kind and helpful rather than judgemental. Thanks for the ones who hold open a door so someone who is disabled can get through easily. Thanks for the ones who provide transportation for someone who cannot get there without help. Thanks for all the other helpful and kind people. I hope if any of those who pass judgement on us will have some helpful people around should they need it someday. So, what do you all think?

I think that a lot of people pass judgement. I couldn't have a job for years because I am disabled and the government and it's stupidity said that if I needed assistance I had to be unemployed. This does not make any sense to me. Because I have a job doesn't mean I make 80K to cover my healthcare expenses. My chair alone costs $40,000 not including repairs and I need a new one every 5 years because they wear out. Now thankfully the law changed and people are treating me more with respect because I can work like they do and earn my own money.

Yes, people do not take into consideration the costs disabled people have to put up with and wonder how they are going to meet those costs. I would like to have a motorized cart or scooter but I cannot afford one on my own and don't have anything yet to cover getting one. So I stay home most of the time and do not enjoy getting out to activities like I would like to do because I can only walk a few feet at a time without resting, and need a cane to do that much.

I have medicaid, but my part time job earns too much so I have a huge spenddown of over $400/month before I can get any benefits for that month. So, unless it is an emergency, I don't get medical treatment. I can't afford the spenddown.

No one should pass judgment towards another. Simply, no one has the right. Otherwise, it is just plain cruel.

well i don't judge people all i can say is i love people because they are God given gift. I will always try to understand so i can make friends, if you want to be cured from emotional disability it is you who must do something because it is a normal passes of life, we do all have sayings out there but when you read between the lines you will know what they are trying to say.
