who should open mouth first?

it is no doubt that if the lovers make a quarrel aways the boy will first to make an apology to the girl.
but if the same gender friends have friction .for example two boy or girl friends . and if they want to be good friends again one of them should first to talk with another,but in fact it aways very hard to be the first due to the self- dignity so how do you think which one should open to another first and how?

well i thnk the guy shud b the first one to apologize
cuz its not good karma for the girl to do it
dignity has nothing much to do with it
if they really like it each other they will soon forget abt htis incident
