My Purpose In Life...

Do you really know your purpose in life? Do you have the slightest idea what were you born to do? Have you tried to think about this and stress yourself out cause you can't think of anything or loads of stuff is coming to your mind. Are you tired of doing the same thing for so many years now? Are you satisfied and contented with the life you have now? Always thought you could do anything you wanted but there's so much barriers along the way? Put a thought into it and share your views... I'm 24 now but still I'm searching for the reason of my existence. Questions such as "Do I have to conform with what others are doing?", "How can I make myself productive?" and such are struggling in my head especially when I have my moments alone to think to dream. I have finished studying about Nutrition and Dietetics a year ago but something is telling me I should be doing something else. And now I've decided and I'm currently pursuing and finishing my degree on Nursing and I've felt this is want I really wanted after all. Hoping that Ia m on the right track. How about you?...

you think alot i suppose hehehe, i do not have a purpose, i am just here because my parents decided to make love on the night they were wed and 9 months after i am here. hhehehe i am 28 already and since i was highschool i searched for that purpose and i do not think anybody knows theirs either, those who say the answer is by talking to God are just lazy to think for themselves and found an easy way out through religion. but since i am still here and breathing, my current mission is to answer all the discussions that you have started :D and listen to slow rock songs and hope to find inspiration from it, enough to write some new material.

Very practical yet amusing response, it made me smile a bit... =) yeah I've noticed you answered all of my discussion, maybe i could do the same for you...I'm busy now so I was not able to post some new threads, I'm just settling on answering my friends discussion now cause its easier that way and doesn't eat so much of my time. ^-^

as i was told out through out my whole life ..the purpose of life is to chose the rite path..either the rite(God)path or the wrong(Devil)path..and which ever u pick thats how u will think...if u pick the rite path you would go by how God thinks...cus he would be inside ur heart n that way you would think n obey him...but if u pick the wrong then you would think that way, u may think ur doing the rite thing but actually ur not..if u have God in you u would do good things without thinkin negative bout it...basically wat God would do bout the situation it would come natrually out of u without thinkin..but if u dont pick the rite path then u would think oh i gotta do this cus thats how God would do it or u would do it cus u dont got God in you...dont really know how to explain it..all i know is that i was told the purpose of us bein here is to serve God and whoever does gets to live with him

That's okay Arianak, I think I follow what you're saying here and I think I have experience it as well. And yes the decision is for us to make. May it be evil or good (well we are not perfect most of us might be swayed and choose the wrong path) I hope at the end of the day we will find the good light or whatever makes us happy and a better person that we should be.

Very well said, simple yet heavy. Yes it all will end and sums up to our faith right.
But what if we are blinded by worldly things and how about those people who don't have or don't believe in that concept you have mentioned, Religion? I wonder where they search their purpose in Life?
Aside from my Faith, I have my family and friends who guides me where I should be going, they are my angels sent from above.

ya i know... according to me, its a chance given by the god to us to achieve something in our life. life is going on and we dont know when our life wil end. am also doing my engineering and my aim is to become a world champion in shuttle.
