Hi, If you have $5000.00 to invest, would you invest in stock or invest in mutual funds? I need opinions about this because I am not sure whether stock investment is better or mutual funds investment is better. Please let me know.

really? i don't believe that invesmen in mutual fund will affect your investmen in decreasing faster than in stock investment. i think what you say above is that you are not playing direct trading in stock, aren't you? mutual fund can have portfolio only in stocks but it has various stocks as its portfolio

I am trading stocks and as well as having investment in mutual funds. I feel that the fees of mutual funds are very high and the funds does not always perform well. So, I prefer stock trading because I can choose the stocks I like and trade them. The fees are lower too.

i see. so you are trading stock directly aren't you? Robert t kiyosaki said that people should learn how to trade in stocks directly instead of in mutual fund. and you are right that in mutal fund we have to pay so much fees and the result is not too good either. where do you trade stocks anyway?

I trade stocks online in my country. I setup a stock trading account at a bank and then I can start trading.
