hi iam avinash and i am here from 1990 means 18 years i think i hav not yet started by journey in finding the god,i hear the teachings of swamy vivekananda, satyananda saraswathy etc, which i think give me a guarantee of the good road to god{hinduism} but it is impossible to study our holy books without a perfect guru,so i am now only concentrated in reading bhagavatha, gita etc to be in my duty more and be a good student for getting a good guru.

thats a nice responce, see bhagavatha and githa make u in a high spiritual status, githa gives u the message that karma{duty} is the way to god, if u r the master in ur duty,u is also in the path of god, hope u will get ur guru soon,i got my guru 2 years back in a mountain encounter{the avator of mine is frm that encounter}and i feel tht he was with me in all my life,

Happy birthday late. I enjoy studying all religions, and believe every religion holds some truths we can all learn from. I don't debate if religious books are without error, because I think they all are without error in context to the original languages and meanings. I do not believe they are all literal in their meanings though, nor do I accept that all of what these books say is fact, as they were all written by man that were inspired to write it, but God himself did not do the writing so none is perfect. I do call myself a christian though, And believe in Jesus as the Christ. But I also believe in the peaceful teachings of Buddha and other religions of Peace, I don't pretend to have all the answers, but I like to look at things analytically. I am 44 years old.

I hope you had a nice birthday and compliment you on your studying and pursuing God.. I am of the christian faith which says we can have have a close friendship with God (because our faulty human nature has been defeated by Christ on the cross for us) and it's my belief that by drawing close to God we find happiness and fulfillment and also transformation, because he is the source of all that.. I have learned valuable things also from other religions, one of my favorite authors I've read being Paramahansa Yogananda..

Dear shivram123, I saw your post just now on my daily mail from mylot, I was not in town for the last two days and that was the reason I was not able to see it before. I would like to wish you a very long life on your birthday and wish you all the success in your life, my greetings and blessings might be late, but I feel it is better to be late than never. I am quite surprised that you are only 21 years, and at this young age if you are able to talk about Hinduism in such a manner, you have bright future ahead of you. Best Wishes.

I'm 21 like you.Well, life hasn't been easy on me until now with me still being crippled and my boyfriend was taken away by his parents because they would do everything just to keep us apart.I've been so depressed up to this day but I always come to God to bring us back together this Christmas no matter how impossible it seems.Friend, whatever religion you may belong to,please pray for me to your god.

First of all, a very Happy Birthday to you, Shivram. Hope you reach your goals in this lifetime. I have been around for more than 34 years and I am already bored. I guess I have let my lifetime goal out of my sight right now. The way my life is going now makes me wonder if I ever am going to get there. I'm just waiting for something to inspire me and get going. I had been brought up in a family that had spiritual values in life and I spent a lot of time in my childhood with sadhus. But nowadays my life is going very materialistic and I just hate the way I am, lazy and aimless. I know it's up to me to do something about it but, I don't find any inspiration at all. I hope the Lord takes me back to my path soon.

i think u must start from the meaning of bhagavad gita u dont want to hav knowledge about hinduism for spiritual life,u must hav belief and love in him and make him ur life goal,u can reach to him by any means, by karma, meditation, yoga, dhyana, pranayama etc there is actually not a single way all the ways end up in him

Happy Birthday... though belated! The only spiritual thing I ever did in my life was to give up all religions and turn to the truth within myself. Right now, I guess I am a funny mixture of agnostic, Pagan, Buddhist, and Hindu. And I love it!! Cheers and happy mylotting

I have been alive for 25 years. It's been mostly good and I can say I have enjoyed my life be a godless man. I can't say I've strengthened my spirituality but I've been studying Evolution. Gives me a new perspective on life.

I was introduced to religion as part of my upbringing. When once I grew up I started studying my religious scriptures in translation. Though it did strengthen my spirituality or give me the path to religious experience, it still left in me doubts as to whether the translators have been true to the the original seers. This made me learn the language of Scriptures i.e. Sanskrit in my case and I beagn and am still continuing my study of Original Scriptures. I find that this gives me first hand peep into the minds of the Masters. The next thing I have done is to understand, what the scriptural injunctions mean, what the rituals mean. This means I had spent quite a lot of time contemplating on the ideas I had received as a child, ideas I learnt from books, and corroborated them with my rel life experiences. The third thing I have done and am doing is to meditate(what is called as Dhyana). This takes me to a thoughtless state and helps me to "understand" by not reasoning and conforming to the dictates of the mind. And I am continuing my Scriptural Stgy, Contempolation and Meditation. Spiritual Experience is an ongoing process.
