Have any of you ever experienced the pleasure of having a dish that you found really tasty that was vegetarian but made of meat substitutes? For example, soya protein or tofu? Have you ever found it to be as satisfying as real meat?

Yes, i have had those veggie burgers and their edible, but i still like meat also i think that we were design to eat meat as well as veggies...matter of fact i'm having a sandwich and a salad for dinner tonite...I'm trying to get my weight and blood sugar under control and i was just thinking last nite to eat more veggies and lay-off the meat and junk food products and try to balance both meat and veggie intake...

I've had several meals that were made with products that were supposed to substitute for real meat. And almost everyone I had was really good. Even the stuff I can buy in the grocery store, like Gardenburger. I love their version of a sausage patty. It is so good! I actually like it better than regular sausage.

Cool! It's nice to know that meat-free meals/subs are comparable in flavour (or even better in this case) than the real thing. I've always really loved the meat subs I've tried but then don't really have anything to compare it against. Thanks for your post!
