fruitcake?!?! Does anyone here like this stuff? Seems like I get one every year and I smile sweetly and say...awww...fruitcake...you really shouldn't have.lol Maybe they think I like it from my sweet smile. Is there a fruitcake eater out there I can send mine to?

you can send it to me, but only if it came from collin street bakery in corsicana, texas. they make the best fruitcake there is, with big beautiful pecans, so moist, and they ship every where. my mom lives in texas and had one sent to me last year.

I love good fruitcake. I even used to make it, when I was young and ambitious. But there's a lot of bad fruitcake out there--too dry, too hard or heavy, not enough fruit, bad quality fruit... Of course, if you don't like fruit in cake, then even the best will be to your taste, but I love dried fruits, so a well made fruitcake is like heaven to me. Every year, the thrift store down the street from where I live sells light and dark fruitcakes from a company that really knows how to make it. It's so good that it's hard for me not to pig out on it.

Oh no, I hate fruit cake. Thankfully, I never receive them as a gift. My mother used to make fruit cakes when I was a child. I ate it I guess because I thought I had to, but I do not like it at all. Granted, they do smell good. Sorry, I am not willing to take your fruit cakes, maybe you can give it to someone else.

I am a dessert fanatic. I love cakes, pies, cookies, candy, pastries, danish--just about anything that can be qualified as a confection. BUT, I despise fruitcake. That is some nasty stuff.

Yeh I am not a fruitcake person either, I guess I am a sweet tooth type that can't get past chocolate or sponge cake so I just don't like fruit in cake...don't mind the icing though sometimes...
