Yesterday I took two of my foster kitties in for spaying/neutering. The third one couldn't go as he was still sneezing and he has to get ready first (lucky Diego, gets to keep his... a little longer). It was a long drive. They are rescue kitties and I have to go to the organizations vet, not my own. About halfway there little Nancy started freaking out. Broke my pore little heart and I worried about her all yesterday. Then the vet called and said the surgery was late and they wanted to keep them overnight. Poor babies don't even get to come home. So I went and got them today at lunch. And BOTH of them were freaking out all the way home, especially Jason. Miserable drive. Then we were home and things were totally normal again. But now I have to take them to the adoption center where, surely, somebody will realize that they are the sweetest little kitties in the world and adopt them right away and I'll never see them again. :-(
You can bring out the world's smallest violin now...

Dawn I think your very awesome for taking care of foster cats. This says a lot about the person that you are. Your very compassionate. I am so glad that you make a big difference in those little babies lives.

Awh. You are going to miss those kittens. Do not worry they will get a good home Dawn. I think there would be a lot for you to keep anyway. They will make some young person really happy, maybe this Christmas.
My daughter came home last year with a little kitten about six weeks old. It could barely breath and was shivering none stop. I thought it was going to die, but I stayed up all night and brought it back to life. Someone around my corner had thrown it out to die.
I could not keep it though. The next morning it was running around my house as if it had lived there for years. It was a real we pet. We took it to the rescue centre and my daughter broke her heart. We got a call around three weeks later saying they had got it a good home.
We had a big ginger Tom for two years but he nearly killed me with his fur as it triggered severe asthma attacks everyday. He now lives with the father in-law so my daughter still gets to see him all the time.
I can still see that we kitten though, but he got a good home where he could be happy.
We can get the violins out together now.

Allergies, not good.
We have 3 adult cats already, no allergies, but that is enough cats. I hope they find really good families. Because I'm going to put a charm on them and if anybody doesn't take care of them, I'm going to wish the kitties back to me and all my back pain to the person who didn't give them a good home!

Yes put a charm on them. They will be fine though. Do you suffer back pain too then Dawn?. It is bad. Im sitting with my back on the radiator nearly crying it's that sore. It is hard to stick. Well I wish them back pain also if they even think of being mean to them.

It's nice of you to foster abandoned kittens until they get adopted by other owners. It is heartbreaking getting apart from kittens or puppies that you have taken care of. I do understand your feelings right now. © ronaldinu 2008

That was very nice of you to rescue the kittens and then take time out to be spay and nuetered so that they will be adoptable. I know it will be hard for you to give them up, they are so darn adorable.

My husband rescued a kitten once. Actually, the people at the hospital she was at did not want to let him have the kitten, because at the time he did not have his own place. He was living with his aunt. I had just met him as well. When they told him no, he was not qualified to have her, my husband started to cry, and they had him promise that he would not abandon her. Eleven years later, we still have our pretty little Scoots. Please see her picture below
