Do you still use the traditional long distance call to call your family and friends in other countries? Or do you try saving up by using other means? If so, what other means do you use for staying in touch with your family and friends in other countries?

I do and luckily we have free long distance plan which is great since I have family and friends all over the U.S and Canada not to mention other countries...I do use email, snail mail and online places like Facebook though...

Free long distance plan? That's very nice, then you don't have to worry about the cost at all.

Hello wondericequeen, I seldom use my fixed line at home-not even to call local numbers unless it is really necessary. But when my husband was away in his country, I made quite a hefty telephone bill. I tried not to but ended up lost control of myself whenever I think of him. My fixed line at home is only for the purpose of getting connection of my broadband. Both of us seldom use the line.
