My Cats get into the trash is this normal?

I have two male cats that are about nine months old. For some reason when I go to sleep at night they get into the trash bin and knock it over on the floor. Every morning I have to wake up and pick up the trash that they have knocked out of the can and onto the floor. Is this normal? And how can I stop it?

Your cats could be hunger. I always leave my cats dry food in case they get hungry in the middle of the night. Try this and see if it helps, do you leave them water? If they are not hungry you just have to kids that like to make a mess. If this doesn't help make sure you empty out the trash before you go to bed, when they realize there is nothing there they will stop.
