future cars

After listening to the car makers begging for money, I got to thinking what type improvements would make me buy a car in the next few years? What would you like to be able to buy?

There's supposed to be one coming out in a year or so, called Volt. It uses no gas at all for about 40 miles, then switches to an alternating gas and electric thing. Since I rarely go more than 15 or 20 miles in the car (mass transit from there), I'd love that!
Now if it were available in a hot little convertible, that would be a dream!
