I am very partial to this photo and was soo astonished at how 'green' everything came out. But to me it wasn't an overwhelming green i found it allowed for more details to spring froth in the photo. This photo I took was this past march at the Biodome in Montreal. That place is my safe haven I love it and all the beautiful wonderment. I strongly suggest you go there if you have the time when your in Montreal. And for all you butterfly lovers and flower lovers hit up the insectarium while your at it. The money will all be well worth it. Enjoy:)

very nice photo. What I would look to do with it is photoshop it a bit and center the attention more on the bug like to a circle burn around the edges to show some sort of light is more on him. Otherwise beautiful.

Absolutely amazing color and focus! An incredible shot indeed! I've never been to an insectarium before! That sounds very interesting, as I love to shoot insects... especially butterflies!

Very, VERY nice photo, Amanda. You are quite talented. This discussion made me get up from my comfy spot on the couch to go find my travel journal. Biodome is now on my list of things to see when I get the pleasure to visit Montreal someday. It was the photo that motivated me to get up!!

Yay I inspired someone to get up today :) hahah my life long goal is now complete. Joking aside you will love it there. I have some photos from the animals there and I all I have to say is AWW. I'm a nature 'freak' so to speak and I can never get enough of animals. My fiance loved the penquins. If you go around May or June you'll have the pleasure of walking through the Japanese Garden. Unfortunately both times we went were at a time where it was in a transition phase from winter to spring but I hear it's breath taking.

I love the natural environments: bush, desert, mountain, rainforest...but I am not one to turn my nose up at the artificial enviri=onments, either, and really enjoy places like the biodome. Sometimes they are the only way to experience or see endangered species...or just elusive ones. Thanks for the tip.

FOr me I am not able to go out into the brush or find time or the money to go other places. Which is why I rely heavily on zoos an biodomes for my pictures. It's great to be able to experience a habitat with out having to spend thousands of dollars to go to that place. You bring up a great point thank you :) I will however in the future try to get more 'natural' shots as I think their imperative for a photographer. All the best David :) Happy snaping :D
