Are you getting logged out alot?

I am starting to get aggrevated with being logged out all the time, especially when I have just written a long discussion/response, only to get a message that emoticions aren't available until you have reached a rating of 200 or better. I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem as I haven't found any recent discussions about being logged out so often. At one point I would stay logged in even if I didn't post anything for 20-30 minutes but now I'm logged out every other discussion or so. Some of the older posts about this have recommended ticking the remember me box upon login but I can't seem to find that now. In the place it USED to be is a public computer? box. Luckily I have reached over 200 posts and can copy my response/discussion and paste it back in after logging in again because the discussion/reply isn't always there after you do. On the rare occasions it is, the formatting is compacted so you still have to go fix things before you hit the submit button. So is anyone else experiencing this problem? If you are, how often do you have to log in again? Does anyone know how to fix this? All suggestions are welcome!

Well, i haven't had experienced that kind of trouble and hopefully, it won't happen to me.. maybe it has something to do with your internet connection.. maybe your connection is running to slow that's why you've been experiencing those kind of glitches.. the best thing you can do is to copy and paste your work at the notepad so there's no need to re-type..

I have a broadband cable modem so I don't think it's a problem with my connection. Luckily I am very familiar with my notepad so while it takes longer, I'm not losing as much as before.

Understandable if you're using a public computer, but I'm getting this option on my personal computer at home. I don't think I would mind it as much if I got logged out every time I closed my browser but I'm actively participating by replying to discussions and unexpectedly get logged out every 5 minutes or so. Ok, maybe every 10 minutes as I like to read (and rate) the other responses before doing my reply, like we're supposed to do.

Out of curiosity I joined hare and still with them; I have not received any payment yeat and my posting is only around 398 - but I am still with site. It is not for money but could be something else- might say addiction.

LOL, welcome to the MyLot addiction club mokbul. Many of us are addicts too. Let me assure you that if you stay active and continue posting you will eventually reach the minimum and MyLot will pay you. I've already been paid several times, but like you, I'm here for more than the money.

Hi suzzy3. I had aol when I first got connected to the internet but had to get something faster after learning my way around a little bit. Even before I started experiencing the logged out problem here though, I learned to either write my discussions/responses in a notepad or to copy it into a notepad, just in case the submit button didn't work. After losing quite a few it became a normal practice for me since I didn't like having to waste so much time by redoing the whole thing. There were many times that the 2nd try was much shorter than the first due to the frustration. Since you have the privilege of copying & pasting now, I would highly recommend taking advantage of it since you do have a browser that's known for causing connection errors.

When I was first getting started on MyLot, I was truely addicted to the site and noticed that there were special milestones at 100, 200 and 500 posts. As far as I know the copy and paste feature is available at either the 200 or 500 post milestone. It's been so long ago that I've actually forgotten which. Basically MyLot grants privileges once members reach a certain point. This is to help prevent abuse by members that just copy someone elses work. Since you have connection issues, if you want to do a long discussion/reply, just start it in a notepad then you can paste it in. Since this only takes a few seconds to do, you'll have a better chance of getting it submitted before you get logged/timed out. ps. At 200 posts you get to use the emoticons (see MyLot code link to the left.)

I'm having that problem now and it's really upsetting me. I just wrote out a huge reply to someone having issues with her ADHD kid and bullies. *sighs* Yeah. I left Yahoo 360 because of issues like these. Whatever the problem is, I hope they fix it soon.

Hello and welcome to MyLot Pascha! As a new member I can definately understand your frustration. I can only suggest making your discussions/responses shorter until you gain the privilege of being able to copy and paste. After losing several long replies when I was new, it was the only thing that I could think of because I didn't always want to retype them each time it happened. After a while I started saving a shortcut to my desktop for the discussions that I knew would get a very detailed response and waited til I was able to just copy & paste it from a notepad. When I wanted to do a long discussion of my own, I just saved the notepad until I reached the magic number. Believe it or not, even the short discussions/responses will quickly build your post count and you'll get there before you realise it.

Hello Pascha... according to your profile you joined a day ago, and already have 22 posts under your belt, so as Paidreader said, it won't be long before you can copy and paste.

That's happened to me before too. I'm just happy that it sometimes freezes before changing to the next page. Anytime I can copy my entry before losing the connection at least saves me from having to retype it all over again.

I haven't had a problem with getting logged out (knock on wood). It's strange that this is happening to you. It must be another one of mylot's oh so wonderful glitches. (Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice? ) Since reaching 500 posts I've been using the copy and paste feature because I had lost a few posts due to mylot being down or a glitch either on my end or theirs. This way I don't lose any of what I wrote. Maybe you can contact the admin and see if they can help you figure out why this is happening. Good luck!

I think during one of the changes they added a public computer box to tick when you log in. It would be really nice of them to put the Remember me box back but I somehow doubt it. Like you, I have been a big fan of the copy & paste feature because I would lose some of my long replies during the glitches even before this started happening.

That is what my problem is, that is the reason why I am always late in replying in your discussions because I can't log in on mylot, linux application is not allowing me too sad. I lose hope thatmy problems will be solved because staff in the office is not willing to help me and I don't have the time to fix the problem by myself.

LOL, every 10,000 miles huh? I don't use foxfire but I do occasionally have the same problems with my IE. When I start getting frequent errors I wind up just rebooting the computer and most things start working again too. Wish it would work to fix my login problem here at MyLot but it hasn't worked yet. I did confirm my cookie cleaner had a recent cookie from MyLot protected and it seems like I'm staying logged in for a little longer now, but nothing like before.

I thought it was just on my end so I did a reboot. Glad to know it wasn't just me.
