What are the different ideas of cookie baking can you guys share?

Well of all the bakery items , baking a cookie is what i find the hardest thing to do. I havent been able to be perfect in baking cookies. I want you people's opinion on how you guys bake diferent type of cookies, what you use as ingredients in your cookie. Well i pretty much can cbake cakes but i also wanna learn to bake cookies, i wanna know what different ways there are to make cookies. Mostly the cookie made by using normal products that are normally available in the kitchen.
