Sad News About Scarlett The Cat

This story was probably one of the most endearing, heartwarming stories I had ever heard of. It was about "Scarlett" a calico kitty who had been caught in a fire in Brooklyn, NY back in 1996. She had five kittens who were also trapped in the burning building, but patiently one by one, she rescued them to safety. A fireman happened to see Scarlett and her kittens and rushed them to the North Shore Animal League where they were treated for smoke inhalation....Scarlett had suffered the worst of it, being badly burned almost all over her body.
