I purchased a heated water dish for my barn cats and my dogs for when they are outside. This way the water doesnt freeze up/freeze solid. They used to go to the cattle's water trough to get water but dad changed the type and its too high for them to get too easily now. I fill it every morning but this morning i went out to fill it and was about to pour the water in when i looked and i saw my older female cat curled up in a ball SLEEPING in the water dish. I went in to grab my camera to take a photo of her but she decided she'd get up and come to the door when i opened it a second time. It was totally cute! Do your pets sleep in weird places? Have you ever seen one if the heated water dishes?

I have one of those water dishes. I need to put it outside. It is a nice thing to have. Our dogs spend most of the day outside and we have a bunch of cats too that live outside. Our pets sleep in strange places all the time. I once found a cat sleeping in a box on the kitchen table.

In the litter boxes? Wow. My boyfriends cats are always sleeping in the sink or the bathtub. he says its frustrating to try to have a shower some days because he takes them out of the tub and they hop back in.

my dog was trained to sleep in his bed in the washroom. When the time came he went on his own in bed. he wanted his own privacy. © ronaldinu 2008

Trained to? thats cool. My dog dragon usually sleeps on my bed at the foot or on the couch. She used to sleep in blankets in the corner at night when i had a cat indoors because he'd attack her if she slept on the couch.

Hi saundyl! That would have made such a cute picture! Yes, my crazy cats find the weirdest places to sleep! Today I found my crazy cat Luna in my closet on top of the sheets. He's lucky I saw him way back there before I shut the closet door! I just started to laugh and called my boyfriend to look at him! Luna doesn't like him so he gave a little hiss! But, he just went back to sleep! I have got to get a camera and keep it ready for those moments! I never know what they will do next. Last night Star, Luna's brother got up on the top shelf of my new computer workstation. I didn't put anything on the shelf yet. Star decided he belonged on there and again I just started laughing! What would our lives be without our pets?
