Sometimes I wonder why persons insist of requesting friendship and never bother to visit the person discussion. Last night I was going through my friendship list and I found out that I have a quiet alot of friends. Then I realized that these persons are very active here and yet when I write discussions I can count on my fingers the ones who are there. So I started to spring clean since it is the time for it any way. You know Christmas time and you are remodeling.lol.
After deleting there comes a few re-requesting and stupid of me I accepted back. I said I am going to observe and see if they will write a response on my discussion. Low and below the same action happen so I did what I did before.
Now I am beginning to wonder if this is a troll. I am being very cautious because things has been happening very negatively for me and to tell you the truth interacting here in MYLOT really helps me not to think about the problems I face offline.
Yes I know I need a offline life but presently no money so I will just continue to enjoy the one I am having now.

Currently I have 44 people that have requested friendship Kerri. None of them have been anywhere near one of my discussions. If they do, they get accepted. Otherwise it's a long wait. I know what you mean about myLot helping you escape from real life at times. In fact I have found that myLot friends have been very helpful in allowing me to get back out into society again.

My dear if it was not for searching for sites and coming across MYLOT I would still deep in depression and this is the reason I am so thankful to all my MYLOT friends. I remember the first time coming here never know what to do. But you guys were so helpful. Used to only type one line and that was it. Now because of this community I am able to write letters etc and more outspoken. MYLOT is really a great community.

I currently have only 2 friends on the site and quite a few discussions that I had started yet only received 1 or 1 responses to. It's quite diheartening so I now just focus on replying to others discussions! This is not a site where you can make much money at all and I don't know if the lack of responses to my discussions is a factor in that - I'm sticking with Ciao!! lol.

Thank You Scotlass, Welcome to MYLOT and Merry Christmas to you too. Earnings here in MYLOT depends on the individual. I know that MYLOT members are not that friendly with newcomers. When I was in the situation such as you, I make myself be known by answering to other person's discussion before started writing. You see when you do it this way person will eventually started to warm towards you.
Don't be downhearted, go to the interest you love and select discussions that you can relate to. Answer wholeheartedly and you will see persons asking for friendship. Everyone here who are earning was at this stage but by doing it the way I explain this community becomes addictive to us.
Give it a try and you will enjoyed the fun like us.

I have quite a few of friends on my list who never bothered to post even a single post. I do try to visit my friends discussion. I must admit that I have a handful of friends here whom I always seek to answer their discussion first. They choose interesting discussions which I can relate to.

Yeah ronaldinu, there are persons who always has interesting discussion but even the ones with boring ones need support as well.

Hello, Kerrianc.
I have to confess that I do not check friend per friend to respond to their discussions. I usually check the Friends Started page, and start responding to a lot of discussions started by my friends. Some of them do not make me think. Some of them I have no knowledge about, so I cannot respond correctly. Therefore, of course I will skip some of their discussions. But I usually check until the tenth page or more and keep responding the ones that I can contribute somehow.
As I said, I do not check friend per friend. If a discussion that a friend of mine creates appear in my Friends Started page, it have high chances of getting responded.

I have been hearing this of lately persons discussion does not make me think or no knowledge about. You know there are the mylot code and if one does not have a four line answer he/she can used them. Personally I prefer to even seen a mylot code than not seeing my friend name in my discussions. (i.e even one of my discussion)

I wonder also where my friends here in mylot, I also received many requests of adding in my list, but when I started a discussion, all the responses I got are coming from mylotters whom I didn't know. My friends seemed vanish.lol!

Well my dear the ones who are coming to your discussion always remember to rate them and if you want request as a friend. Also try and support their discussions as well because friendship is really the key in this community.

I haven't been here that long so i had know idea that friends didn't interact together on this site i think they should on the other social site i'm on friends keep up with everything the other is doing that's part of what they get paid for they drop by and sign each others guess books, read their blogs, view their photos and every other action they perform on their site maybe thats what my lot should do just a idea.

Hello money1 welcome to MYLOT. What you have said is the exact way that should be operating here but there are persons who love when you come their discussion and then when you are looking for support it is not there. Life online is the same as offline so you either delete those friends are leave them be.

i don't go to any of my friends profiles to look at their discussions, but i will go to the friends started link and see what they started, i will only look on the first few pages too, sometimes i will just to random pages, but i mainly see the same friends who start many discussion.

Yes on the first pages you will see various of discussion by one person but I will scroll through and see what I will answer and give my support.

I am with you. Why request friends if you aren't going to visit discussions by that person? I only request the friendship of people I have seen posting that interest me. Most of mine seem to be from young people and mostly overseas. They don't have discussions that interest me at all, so I hardly ever comment on any of theirs. Like you, I only have a handful of people who comment on my discussions. Even then, I comment on some all the time that never have been to my discussions, and I don't understand that. Sometimes I wonder if they are more involved in writing discussions and never read a discussion by their friends. I know some roll out discussions like they were on an assembly line. I just don't have that much to discuss in me, or maybe something is wrong?
