I use paypal and in Nov I received a payment of $2.23 from squidoo. Now paypal is asking me to retreive the money or else they will be send back the money to squidoo. The problem is that I do not wish to retreive the money as there is a charge of 2 euros and if i retreive them now I will not get anything. What i would like is to accumulate more money in paypal, does anybody know if it can be done? If so what do I have to do?

I don't really understand what you're saying, when you say 'retrieve' the money. Have you actually confirmed that it was your payment, and accepted it in Paypal? Mine was returned to Mylot the first time but because I had given them my address wrongly by typing .com, instead of .co.uk. I had to change my details in Mylot and then it was repaid, but some companies insist that you verify that you are the payee and accept the payment into Paypal, which it doesn't sound as if you've done. I hope this helps. Brightest Blessings.

Now, that is strange and I was looking at your previous comment as well. I am also in the UK. I have verified my Paypal with my personal bank account and can either pay money into Paypal or withdraw from them to my bank by credit transfer. This service is free of charge, but it does take a few days. All you have to do is go through the verification process in Paypal and you can treat it like a normal bank account. I don't know what else to suggest as I've never had any real problems with Paypal.

Just transfer it into a bank account. That shouldn't be a problem should it? that is easy to do.

First did Paypal address you in your real name that you used to join Paypal? If they did not, it is a plishing email, and check the email address to see if it is the right email. Then what you do is to write to Paypal. Use their ticket and tell them that you do not have enough to transfer to your amount. A good way to find out if you got a plishing email is to "show all headers"

Question: how can you withdraw $2.23 from squidoo? Squidoo has a minimum $10 threshold before you can withdraw your money. I have been with squidoo for so long and never get rejected by paypal.

I got $2.23 from squidoo because you can change the cash threshold to $1 from your profile.

well as far as I know, the charge you paid would be yearly. You have to pay that amount yearly. I suggest you have to check it clearly because if that would be the case, you will be getting your $2.23 in exchange of your 2 euros...that's crazy. Besides, what I know of paypal. the lowest accumulation of money before you can get it is minimum of $5 and increasingly on your succeeding payout...Try to check then..cheers

Hi xayuk69. I'm not sure why you're having this problem as PayPal doesn't usually have a problem with letting your funds accumulate in your account. My suggestion would be to submit a support ticket to PayPal and ask them what you need to do in order to let the funds stay in your account until you're ready to spend it. Every time I've had to contact PayPal it has always been a good experience and their support team does everything they can to resolve any issues you experience with their service. Hopefully you aren't receiving a phishing email, but if it is, they will just have you forward it to their spoof department (spoof@paypal.com) so the page can be deactivated.
