Have you reached/accomplished all of your life goals?

As I get near to the big 4-0, I've been thinking back alot about my life. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change a thing about it, good or bad. I've done pretty much everything that I always vowed never to do when I was younger like getting married (did that twice already!!), having kids (got 4!!), living in the area that I do (been here 5 years already & love it!!). The list goes on & on. I learned late in life that the saying, "Never say never", is totally true. So, as I head to my 40th birthday, I made myself a new list of things to accomplish before I hit the big 5-0. Some of them are things that need to be done like losing 60 lbs., taking better care of my health and spending more time with family. Some are a little less needy but would probably take some time & money to do like a family vacation with all of the kids. I look back at some of the goals I had set for myself when I was 20 and in general I've done them all & then some. Considering that I'm not even supposed to be alive right now, I think I did really well with my life so far. I'm not super rich, super thin or whatever else we all wish to be at one point of our lives or another but I am happy for once in my life. Even with all the struggles, pain & tough times, it's been great. Have you reached your life goals or are they still a work in progress? Any advice? Thanks!!

Every so often I redefine my goals. I also say that life is what happens when you are making plans and although I feel that I have been successful, I did not reach some goals. I was better for trying. I recently turned 40 and I started thinking about a looking at goals for the next phase of my life. There are things I want to do, but they are not well formulated. I know I want to help people, but in what avenue I don't know. I know I'm worried about terrorism, but not sure where I fit in. I just need to evalute my own skills and abilities and focus my goals in that direction.
