I stuck with XP for a long time, but a laptop purchase put me on Vista. Everyone seems to have problems with Vista, but I haven't had any problems, and I love it.

on my desktop i have vista cause thats what i bought it with. i havent had to much trouble with it i only had trouble when i first got it but if u turn off all the high graphic stuff it runs way better (although yea it looks like crummy windows 98 lol) but i still have xp on my laptop and im not switching it to vista it already has enough problems running xp vista would fry it (i found it to be a waste of a good 1000 dollars) but id have to say i prefer xp at the time cause with all the stuff on my computer vista tends to slow it down and make it a bit laggy plus alot of software tends to have download problems for some reason where i wind up having to redownload like 5 or 6 times. but vista will do fine it seems to be workin better than what i thought it would but honestly i like xp more cuase its more effecient and has less bugs in it.

I'm still using Windows XP Service Pack 3. I have no plans of using Windows Vista because i know my computer cannot handle it well because my computer's ram is only at 768mb with Pentium 4 processor. I'm sure my computer will choke if i install Vista. A friend also told me that Windows Vista requires at large 11gigs of hard disk space for installation. That's too much considering i only have 80gigs on my computer. I would be sacrificing a lot of precious storage.

I have run vista on 2.66Ghz pentium 4 at 768 Mb ram, trust me it works fine, i have even played NFS most wanted with no extra graphics card, its works fine. Vista is better than Xp,though vista looks slow there are reasons for it..

Same here, I also tried Vista on a laptop but crashed. That's the reason I stick with XP. Thanks for the response. Good Day!

I'm staying with XP. In fact, when I bought a laptop this past summer, I got a used one with XP rather than get a new one with Vista. I hope my computer lasts forever so I never have to switch. LOL.

My choice is to use XP over Vista for as long as I am still being supported. No matter how good XP is, there is still one fine day when the new hardwares will not release XP drivers and 3rd drivers have too many glitches. Then, I guess its either you don't upgrade your computer or get a new operating system. Your choice. Happy MyLotting...

I am using vista from few months and i liked it in such a way that i just lost my touch with xp. I removed the xp installation and have completely switched to Vista. I don't find why some people didn't like vista(every one has their choice anyway...) as as far as my experience goes, Vista's GUI is far better than xp and there isn't any hardware problems or so called compatibility problems with vista.

I'm gonna have to confess, at the very beginning, I was one of the ones that was not interested in going to Vista, I was going to hold out until the very end! I was very happy with Windows XP! But on accident, I helped my cousin set up his new computer, and it has Vista on it! I started 'messing around' on it, and navigating it, and have been on it several times, and have started liking it quite a bit! There is some very interesting stuff on there that you can do, very innovative, and 'fresh', and I have slowly changed my mind about waiting to get Vista on my next computer!

I use Vista Home Premium as my primary OS, but when i am doing programming etc, I use Ubuntu linux. I think that Vista is much better than XP because it has a better and a cooler interface and it's much easier to use. I don't think that vista is too slow... It runs perfectly on my Asus laptop( Intel core 2 duo P7350, Ati Radeon HD 3470, 4 GB ram etc ).

Its been a while since i have moved to vista,i like it a lot, its a good operating system. i have installed vista on my 2.66GHZ pentium 4 at 768 MB ram system and 2 GB Ram with core 2 duo, i dont find much difference. Vista is much better than xp when security is concerned and even looks. Vista might look slower than xp but there are reasons for that. Vista is more immune to virus than xp. We can make vista a bit more faster by tweaking it or disabling few services but this has disadvantaged too.. Vista rocks!!! ,AM going to try out Vienna MST3 soon.

xp is great.. Vista is so much confusing than XP... xp is easy to handle... you can change the theme of XP... there is many theme to change it... any Minimum Computer requirement is also LOW... where VISTA needs a higher config... lost of software are not supported with VISTA... And its lots of space to install... Use XP and enjoy it... :-)
