I come from a large family. I'm the fifth girl. So when my younger brother was born, my parents took him up a mountain to have his head shaved as a thankful way for at last they managed to have a male heir. So there are 8 girls and 3 boys. My grandfather said that his granddaughters should only study up to the primary level. Later they will become wives and mothers and stay in the kitchen. Males can further their studies as they will become leaders. In the end it was his granddaughters who took care of him till his dying day. So to me gender is unimportant. I love both my sons and daughters. Each plays an important part in doing the household chores be it cooking, preparing drinks (tea, coffee etc.), cleaning the house, hanging out the clothes or washing the car. They have equal opportunity to further their studies as long as they work hard. Only knowledge can ensure their bright future. So what's your opinion?

I have no such preference for male and female. If he/she is healthy and good enough, it should be accepted as Gift of God. Generallr daughters are fond of fathers and sons like their mothers most.

As there are many men who die in war there are actually less males in this world. It is the way we bring up our children that matter be it a girl or a boy.

It does not matter to me if my kids are a boy or a girl or not just as long as they are healthy. I have 2 boys and 1 girl and they are the best thing that has happened n my life.

Gender for me is not a preferential factor for what my kids are. Be it male or female each of them have their identity, for no two persons have the same characteristics. Each of us is a unique person.Gone are the days that the female are only confined in the house doing the household chores and or considered subordinates to the male gender. With our present age female gender find equal opportunities with the opposite gender Each has a role to play in the development of the society.
