have you ever gone to the movies on christmas day?

i know alot of people who do this traditionally but i have never done it because to me christmas day is about being with the extended family and opening gifts and delicious foods and relaxing. you can go to the movies any day in my opinion. there is usually some big movie opening on christmas day though so it must be for a reason i guess.
