What do you think about Biden being so quiet?

Have you noticed how quiet Joe Biden has been? Doesn't it seem strange that no one has interviewed him since the election has ended? Has anyone here seen him on a talk show anywhere? I'm just curious.

Actually, heard him speak to the governors at the Pennsylvania meeting just the other day. He was his usual charming self, told Sarah Palin he was delighted to see her in attendance, noted that you know, since the election, no one is interested in hearing from him anymore, so maybe during a break, he and she could take a little walk outside and commiserate. Next thing I knew, folks on some of the blog sites were speculating and wondering how Jill Biden might feel about that little walk outside. Seriously, he's just been elected to a position that might as well have an invisibility cloak as a uniform. Pretty much the only time we've historically ever heard from the U.S. VP has been when they say or do something stupid. Like, you know, insisting that potato is spelled with an E or that JOBS is a three letter word.

Joe Biden is second string. Everyone's interested in the Cabinet positions and the make up of the new President's team...not what Biden is doing. The V.P. spot has always been behind the scenes.

I don't recall whether or not Darth Vadar gave any interviews either between election day an inauguration day, to be honest, but I know V.P. Elect Biden has been at the President Elect's side each time an announcement has been made regarding cabinet appointments. Also, as someone else pointed out, he spoke before the Governor's Association. Annie

Well, thank you all for your comments. I guess we'll wait and see how all of this turns out in the next few weeks. And as far as Biden and Palin conversing, the gossip hounds are always salavating over what they can twist and turn, to ruin someone's reputation. No wonder I have such distain for our rabid media And most especially Ariana Huffington. She is dispicable!

Yes, I haven't seen an interview or such from him. I suppose he has fallen into the more traditional role of the supportive VP. They usually don't get much face time anyway. Besides that the media of course is focused on their darling Obama right now shaping his government. We already know who Biden is and what his role will be.. who is the rest? That stuff is more interesting for the media and makes more money. Could of course also be that the Obama camp intentionally doesn't want him to give interviews because he does misstep badly on occasion, which could cause great embarrassment. But my guess is really that he just already took the role of VP so to speak and the VP is not in the foreground until asked to step in. I also don't see Obama as a type whose likely to share the spotlight. It wouldn't surprise me, if we would not see and hear much of Biden throughout Obama's presidency.

Well considering he is a one man gaf machine, it is not a bad thing he has been so quiet lately. But really he is probly busy with Obama picking out the cabinet plus Biden has his own staff to appoint so I assume he is preparing for when he takes the VP spot. Plus he has to handle giving up his seat congress.

No. I havent seen him in any of the talk shows. I only saw him once when they had the vice-presidential debate. I guess because the president-elect is very popular that they already forgot that he has a vice-pesident..
