I've work with computers for a few years now and find that you can't trust the technology but so far because at times these machines seem to do what they want to do, for example things happen when you know it should not happen like programs not working properly then working half right for know reason and devises working and then not working for know reason. Sometimes the computer will just log off and you did nothing to log off, what is that all about. So I think that someone is in the system watching everything we do even if your not online they are watching as long as you are connecter to a power source they can watch you the Ghost in the Computer.

What you have described is what everyone feels sooner or later. But you have to realise that like everything man made, a computer has to have its flaws. You can't expect it to work fine all the time.
That being said, a little care can stabilize your computer a lot. A good antivirus is a must. Also ensure you only install trusted software and only visit trusted websites. But then you probably already know that :)

I could be wrong but... I'd guess you have a Windows Operating System, it's not your programs it's windows... and yes they do try to monitor everything you do. Trhstfd
