Ever Re-Fry a Donut?

Today we were stuck on what we wanted to eat for breakfast and we contemplated upon a couple of ideas such as pancakes, french toast etc. We did our grocery shopping yesterday then visited a bakery. They had day old donuts and we decided to buy them because they were cheaper. My hubby cut the donuts in half then fried them. After they were finished, we put a bit of margerine on them then added syrup. They were very good! Have you every tried this? What do you think?
