Have you ever been sick on your birthday?

Well, I had big plans. Last night there was a whole group of family and friends planning on going out to a bar that was having a dress up party (I won't go into WHAT the theme was,lol). And today is my birthday. Wouldn't you know it...I get sick on Wednesday, and now I have to go to the hospital tomorrow for an upper GI, and bloodwork. I can't even eat anything!
The timing on this is awful! My husband and I haven't been out on a weekend in I can't tell you how long, and a few of the people who were going to meet us there I haven't seen in years! My sisters-in-law said it was hilarious, too! Dang it!
Ok, all done feeling sory for myself. (well, maybe!) Just had to rant a bit about it!

I'm almost always miserable on my birthday. It's nov 28th. this year I was supposed to work and I've had to work other years on it. (It was the day after thanksgiving). My boyfriend's is the week before and he fell the next day and broke his ankle in 3 places and last year he was passing a kidney stone...... We almost never actually feel good and happy on our birthdays. At least not now... when we were younger I guess we were happy. It seems like after 21 birthdays kind of loose their fun......

Unfortunately, I have to say yes to this question. This past Sunday (December 7) was my birthday, and I was sick as a dog...I have been sick since last Wednesday or Thursday. Thankfully, I am getting over it slowly but surely. I was not contagious, so my wife and I still had a little fun if you know what I mean, but I pretty much collapsed on the couch for the rest of the day after that...hahahaha

yeah I would think that would put a damper on your birthday for the rest of your life. That would probably be a hard one to ever forget...

I don't remember ever being sick on my birthday...I know that I've been sick the day AFTER my birthday, lol. I think I have you beat though.... I was pregnant on my 21st birthday! :-( I had him 3 days later that's how pregnant I was! That sucked!!!

I can still remember that my aunt and uncle wanted to take me to the circus on my eight birthday. I woke up with asthma and that was the end of my dream going to the circus. Instead they had to run around to fetch me the necessary medicine.

I am sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well and espcailly on your birthday. Having an upper GI does not sound like a fun birthday at all. I have never been sick on my birthday but the first year that I decided to host Thanksgiving I woke up with the flu and felt horrible. That was a lousy Thanksgiving!
