Directed by an Indian i hadnot much hope from the film, but hte moment the first scene of the film unfurled all my apprehensions were thrown out of the air..Its the most visually stunning movie ever and each scene is a well crafted ainting in itself..I would rate it as high as Silence of the Lambs if not higher but a mystified version in itself..

It was a very interesting film, visually, I have to give you that. But as a film, it wasn't really that great. Don't get me wrong, I really liked it, but the visual aspect of the movie tends to eclipse the movie itself. The plot is decent, but it seems to be stretched because they depended to much on the visuals, Vincent D'Onofrio gives an amazing performance, while J-Lo... well, for the lack of a better word, she sucks. A good movie, a very good movie even, but not close to "Silence of the Lambs", or "Red Dragon", which I think was the best in that trilgy. Oh, and I will agree on the director, he's amazing! You should check out "The Fall", that's his latest movie and it's truly a master piece. Overlooked by many, of course. Rich

The Fall is wonderful and mesmerising..Infact its one of my favorites now...It shows how underrated Tarsem Singh is in Hollywood.. I agree JLo sucked in The Cell but the flow of the film made me overlook that..

i also loved The Cell, of course mainly for the visual aspect which is stunning. the story was the usual serial killer but with a bit of a twist on how he's "caught". Jennifer Lopez i felt did a bit of a lack luster job. i just didnt "feel" her character i guess..i LOVED Vincent D'Onfrio (sp?) though..course ive loved him in just about everything ive seen him in lol! the person above recommends The Fall..never heard of it, but im certainly going to check it out..if its as visual as The Cell then it cant be too bad lol!

I recommend the Fall too..Its superior to The Cell in many other aspects barring visual imagery..Its set in India and a very interesting saga of an unnatural relationship between two main characters..Definitely check it out..
