I remember when I moved to Texas and I saw a cactus growing out of the ground, I started freaking out. I was at Wendy's, and I asked people if it was a real cactus, growing out of the ground....yeah talk about being from the North.... being from NY it was a first to me and thrilling considering I'd only seen pictures prior...I was 18...lol What about you? Anything in your travels you got to see for the first time, never thought you would but did, etc?

Well, probably a frog-shaped rock somewhere on the shore. I mean, the rock was so big and shape like a frog. It's just unusual.

Thank you for your response! Did you take a picture? I think animal shaped rocks fits the category perfectly!

My parents came over to visit and .. last september during fall.. we took them to Algonquin park in Canada... and the leaves were sooo beautiful... all in one row.. with different colors like red, yellow, orange....... its beautifull.. though it was a long drive from Toronto... but worth it......... so if u guys ever have a chance u should go visit Algonquin during fall season..

My family is from Western NY, and personally I love Canada...the changing of the seasons...I absolutely love the color of the leaves...I appreciate the suggestion, and more than likely, this will end up on one of my places to go ! :) Thank you!

where else would they grow from? lol we have lots of them here and i grew up with them. personally i still dont believe in Snow Days! you know the days where school is closed and even business dont have their employees come into work cause of too much snow? yeah right! snow day..sheesh im not that gullable! (LOL little sister lives in PA and she insists that they are real, wont believe it until i go thru one i guess!) lets see..i guess the weirdest and neatest thing ive seen on vacation was when i went to Cambria in Southern California...we stayed at a hotel that was close to Moonstone beach. very beautiful there, everything is green, just gorgeous..well while taking a walk along the beach we actually found REAL PIECES OF JADE! now im not sure why its called Moonstone beach instead of Jadestone beach..but we took what we found to a little jade shop in town and they said Yes thats jade alright! then they showed us a piece of jade that her grandfather had found! the thing was monstrous! i literally could not have lifted it..i might have rolled it over perhaps.it was about a foot long, by at least 1/2 a foot wide and certainly a foot in thickness! still cant believe that thing..they said they had it cored or tested, something..and the analysis came back that the thing was SOLID jade!

Travelling by coach riding inside the top of a volcano. Then a camel ride up the side of the volcano in Lanzerote. Awesome !
