December 9, 1968. Stanford Research Institute demonstrated a device called a personal computer, something which went on to revolutionize the world. It has changed the way we work, play and relax. I bought my first computer in 1998. It was a Pentium II, 233 Mhz with 16 MB of RAM and a 2GB HDD! And I loved it! What was your first computer like? When did you get it? How important is your computer to you? Discuss...

I bought my first computer 5 years after you bought it. No wonder, the configuration goes up, with a Pentium 4 2Ghz processor, Intel Original D865GBF Motherboard, 512 MB DDR 266MHz RAM, Samsung CD-Writer, 40 GB HDD and 17inch Samsung monitor. Then after 5 years i.e. a few months ago(4months ago), I bought one more computer with Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz processor, Intel Original DG35EC Motherboard, 2GB DDR2 RAM, a DVD writer, a 19inch TFT monitor and a 500GB HDD. OWhhhhhhhh....... It will be interesting to see what kind of a configuration we will have after 5 years....
