are single parents "good enough"?

I've been brainwashed by different Christian Life education lessons since I was a kid - everyone says that it's not "healthy" for a child to grow up with a single parent, that the child should experience the love and caring of both mother and father.
And I just watched the 6th (7th?) episode of House where one of the single doctors was having an adoption, that's why I got a little disturbed over the matter.

yes if the chemistry between parents is not good. it is better to raise the child as a single then to create a large mess around him/her and giving the kid a lot of tension. the childhood plays a great role in every bodies life and psychology . so we should try our best to raise a child in good atmosphere.
