A dog chasing me in the lonely street.............

On the other day,I returned late night from a business trip and getting down from the bus,I saw the street bare except of a dog.It strangely looked at me,grinned,started to bark wildly moving towards me.Little bit hesitant,I made quick footsteps and I thought I had to run before the dog could get me.But sudddenly a head appeared from the dark night soothing the dog and encouraging me to go ahead.Thanking him I made my way home quickly.Have you any experienced a dog chasing you?Getting it worse,anybody got bitten by a dog?

Hi ganesh, you got to be very careful about street dogs, especially during the night. I have a dog(dachshund) myself and I love her. But street dogs, you never know what they have been through and how sane they are or how they will react. During the night, I have observed that they tend to go bonkers and chase every thing in sight(like passing vehicles) and this could be very dangerous for both the dog and the person on the vehicle. Its even more dangerous for you when your on foot. Thankfully you were able to reach home without any complications. I have been chased myself on various occasions. But on all these instances I was either in my car or riding my bike(thankfully). It was definitely scary though, believe me. I hope you avoid walking on the streets during night time. Prevention is better than cure, hope you keep yourself safe.

Yes!It was a scary situation.I can hear my heart beat,unable to judge whether to stop or stop running.Street dogs are unpredictable,as you said.One cannot imagine,how it will react,especially at nights.To add confusion,they start barking and at the same time wag their tails.We can't come to a conclusion of its motives.Sure,one should avoid walking,in a street with dogs.Cheers!
