Does anyone have a favorite steampunk novel? Even a non-favorite one. I would just like to have a list of steampunk titles to munch on in the near (and not-so-near) future. The concept has intrigued me from a long time now, and when I finally learned the correct name to call those types of books, I really can't help wanting to read more. Hehe.
In case a misunderstanding occurs, these is the steampunk I'm looking for: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk
Any help would be nice. Thanks a lot!

I would recommend "The Girl Next Door" by Jack Ketchum (he is the master of steampunk). But I must warn you, this book is NOT for the queasy, the weak, the easily fazed. It is a very, very descriptive and horrible novel, but so good that you just cannot put it away.
Read with caution. :)

Wow, thanks. This thread was unanswered for so long that I gave up on it. Thanks a lot for your recommendation.
When you say queasy by the way, would you mind being more specific? There are a variety of things that make me queasy, see, and I don't know if this book qualifies. For example, gore is something I wouldn't want to watch, but reading it, I can be more tolerable. I can't read or watch violence against children, though, unless it's especially glossed over.
Oh, and thanks for the author rec. I'll be sure to check his other books. :)
