I would work the child myself. I did this with my daughter, didn't send her to preschool. Instead I worked with her. So when she went to kindergarten, she could read and do basic math.

you know what when i have my first boy able to speak at least word that we can understand i did send him to school. but i did asked him first if he really wanted to go to school and he answer me "yes" i wanted to make friends and learn that was the answer i have heard an i can't forget that. by the way the age should be at least 3-4 years old (pre-school) why because the child brain at this age is the same active as the a nine years old child. but you have to ask you kid if he/she wanted to go to school. if you wanted to know more about you child age try to search more. have a nice mylotting!

Even if your child is academically ready to learn things we associate with older children, he is not emotionally ready to go to school and will not be for quite some time. If you want to teach him a few things at home, that would be fine but don't push him into learning at the expense of his emotional health.

I think the right age for a child to be sent to a formal education is 5 years old because by the age, he or she can understand the importance of education. In ages earlier than that, I think the child will think that everything is just a play or a game. Well, ofcourse, there is always an exception. Some children may make themselves ready for school at an earlier age. As long as your child is ready for the school set-up, I think you can send him to school already. Some offer playschool so you can look for those kind of schools.

a lot of preschools have classes for toddlers now. my nephew first went to school when he was 28 months, and it has really helped his development. he attends the toddler class and goes to school just three times a week, for two hours per day. =)
