I am looking into doing some data entry, but when I search for it online I have hundreds of choices. Do any of you guys do this data entry from home? Did it cost you anything to start? Do you get paid for what you do? What sites do you use? How many hours a day do you spend on data entry? What exactly is data entry?

I'm sorry to say that most, if not all, data entry sites are scams. If you want to get a data entry job, you need to sign up at getafreelancer.com. They will let you bid for jobs. It may take a while to get a job, but I found one there in very little time. I don't make much, as there are many other people doing the work as well, however, I got good news that this person has opened another site and wants us to work on it as well so there could be more money involved. It is legitimate and I get exactly what they promised they would pay. So I try to do this whenever I am free from my writing jobs which I put first as they pay better. When I am not writing, I usually hop over, do the data entry and at the end of the month they always pay me. I was skeptical at first when I didn't get paid on the first of the month, so I emailed him and said, "where's my money? Is this a scam?" I received an email from him, along with all the others who worked for him and was told they were running late. They paid me on the 7th. I started doing more work and now I expect to get my money in my paypal account between the 5th and 7th of each month. He hasn't let me down yet. So go to that site, sign up, find what you want to bid on (there are lots of data entry and capcha work to be done, bid on it and wait. You have so many bids that can use each month so make sure it's a job you really want. Good luck!

I tried it once but it didn't work for me because most of the data entry sites are scams. My friend paid $69 for a data entry site but he was scammed even before he started. And so taking from his experience, I don't think that data entry is for me. I don't know but as of the moment, that's how I feel. It might change in the future. I hope you'll find a legitimate data entry program where you can earn!
