How Old is the House You're Living?

I'm not sure about the age of the rented house we're living right now but I think this is quite older already. Some wooden structures of the house are already broken. We are about to move into our new home soon, hopefully on the 2nd week of January next year, God-willing. How about you, do you know how old is the house you're living right now? Thanks for sharing and God bless all!

The house that I live in is extremely old, it is so old that it even got a special plate from the town that says when it was built. *runs downstairs to check the date* The house I live in was built in 1882! It was a shoemakers house (although I find that very surprising because it is a somewhat large house). Either way it's an oldie.

That's just amazing! I'm just curious because they say that old houses tend to be haunted sometimes, any paranormal activities you've noticed so far? Thanks for the response!

I have no idea of the age of the house I live in. Because it is rented. I do know a house I was buying before it was foreclosed up on was built pre 1900's. I lived there for over 7 years. I really do mis that house.

I dont know why ur wall-topics r attracting me much...lol... may be...lol.. anyway, where Im living now,it was built by my late grandpa in 1964. now plz calculate how old is she now... but surprizing is that its now being more & more modified.. like White House!!...lol We,the present generation r willing to keep this four-floor bulding forever.. till its not risky to b beaten by earthquaks.. we find peace that our dad & uncles were here in their childhood....!! its interesting indeed.

This new apartment is just over 2 months...but back home the house I grew up in will now be over 40 years old. It has been renovated endless times because it was originally made of wood and they finally replaced the wood with a concrete structure...but ym foundest memories are of that house.

yes of course even i am not the owner of this house where i am living for but i am sure i know how old the house the day it was being built for my husband's parents are the owner of the house and they are telling me the time they are living here in the city and how they built the house for they are not a rich person when they begun to have their own family they try there best to build a new home for their new family. The age of the house is 32 years old and it still stand strong for they check the house if there is any bugs living in the house and destroying the strength of it.

Congratulations to you! The house I am living in is about 20 years old. When I was young, I have began to live there with my parents, which the house has just b uilt.I spent my childhood, and most of my time there. Now, 20 years past, the house seems old and inferior to the house that is built now in appearance, and size. But I still like it, and have a special feeling just like an old friend.

This is the first house that our family owned, all the rest starting when i was born until i got into first year high school were rented. I think that our house is between 20-30 years old. Its still look the same, but they were a lot of changes with the paints, and also the decors inside and outside the house.

We got lucky with our house. We spotted it being built and made an offer. The guy accepted and we were able to pick alot of things that went into the house. Like carpet, roof, brick, counter tops. It was more stressful then getting married lol. So our home is only 7 years old. Hard to believe its that old already.

Our house is an old Farmhouse in France. It is around 400 years old with really think walls, and lots of stone with wonderful oak beams

Our house was built in the 20's by my husband's great grandfather. It has many quirks but we aren't going anywhere. We will continue to make upgrades as we are able. It's home.

No earthquakes for us thankfully. We have to watch out for tornados. I'm not in a flood zone either thankfully. The quirks are primarily things like having electrical outlets in completely useless places. I need to redo a wall with new sheet rock. Things like that. Thanks for the concern.

The house where I am living right now was built so that we could move in right after our wedding that is why it is easier for me to remember how old it is. Right now, it is already 4 1/2 years old. All the furniture and appliance were also bought after the house was built.
