I fall in love with EVERY new toothbrush! Yep..... We were MADE for each other!

There she is..... Shiny, curves in all the right places, fresh new bristles calling to me like a foghorn in the night..... She is mine, all mine. I look to her and then to the previous love of mine; the older toothbrush; (which by the way resembles a mouse that has been electrocuted and has a flat stick up its butt) and I breathe in the fresh aroma of new beginnings..... We were MADE for each other, this is my DESTINY. Man are my teeth gonna be clean! Strange but true really. Cracking open a new toothbrush and using it for the first time after milking the very life out of the old one is definitely one of my simple pleasures in life. Is there any inanimate object that inspires such feelings of joy in you as well? Using a new toothbrush, opening a fresh bar of soap, the smell of coffee when you first open the jar and crack the foil seal..... Anything? Now excuse me as I have a date with my new toothbrush tonight and I have to get ready.....

I feel the same way with my new shoes, taking care while wearing it for the first time. Treading carefully, not wanting to walk into a puddle or some dung. Checking on every speck of dust that comesits way. There are some other simple pleasures as well, and will share them later. You enjoy your date with the toothbush. Handle with care James. The righ amount of toothpaste and dont' chew it too much.

That is ok Mimpi. A lot of people have this with shoes. The one and only James loves his toothbrush. I'm this way with my new aftershaves as well, using it very carefully and sparingly to start with. Taking a deep whiff of it everytime.

If it's toothbrush for you then it gotta be my shoes. I am just a maniac when it comes to my shoes. Choosing the right pair gets even more tricky and guess what no one wants to accompany my on my shoe buying days! I AM extremely fidgety and choosy when it comes to my shoes. But then, one has to for you have to live with it for undefined period. BTW, I just cannot, part with my old stuffs until the time they are in OK condition. My stuffs hardly wear off, good for me.

Here I come again, another inanimate object, which is NOT quite so according to me are my specs. Eveytime I go for a new one, I am just fascinated by the idea of newer look. And guess what, I just love my glasses and take ensure a thorough cleaning regime on those. Its some other matter that I have had my share of spoiling them with excessive love tortures.

Yeah, much better now. Thanks for asking. I have three pairs (I'm not fashionable either) but i am too much particular about which to wear when. Like one pair is totally for home and the other two for outside wear. I do not like the idea of having many options to choose from, for i am already so bugged up with my clothes in the morning!

Happy to hear this mimpi! Three pairs is still enough for the occasional mix and match. I am pretty boring when it comes to glasses myself. Maybe I should look at getting something from the Elton John Collection to spice things up a little?

Oooooh..... Readers Digest! I used to love reading these and haven't had the chance to do so for ages. Fresh coffee is definitely on my list too and especially the aroma when it's freshly ground. I am not that excited by clothes though to be honest. Thanks for the response Sandhya and it's nice to see you!

I am not someone who is overly excited by clothes in general rkrish, but I do enjoy the feeling I get when I wear a new shirt or suit for the very first time! The problem though is that nine times out of ten I also end up spilling something on it! Thanks for responding and I am glad that you also make an effort to keep the memory of your previous shirts alive as well. This is a very fair way to handle the situation.

Inanimate things that excite me are a laptop, a digital camera, a mobile phone, a motor bike and a car. The laptop heads the list as it is my window to the world. i just can't do without my laptop. I sometimes wonder what I did before i bought a laptop? Then of course a digital camera keeps all my memories intact. I ma y forget some thign but my camera is there to remind me. Mobile phone, care and bike are other things which get me totally high.

It must be absolute bliss then if you manage to get yourself into a situation where you have all of these with you at the one time mercuryman! I think I would be lost nyself without my mobile and computer also. I do have a digital camera but I don't use it anywhere near as often as I should. Thanks for the response.

Wiritng in a journal is something I've never actually done before! But if I WAS a writer in this sense, I can definitely see how getting a new journal would be pretty exciting. Fresh new beginnings and possibilities! Thanks for the response and for the tip about the Colgate Wave Toothbrush. I haven't seen this one before, no, but I'll have a look for it at the supermarket on the weekend.

Hello! Yes, I know the pleasure, James. I have felt like that before. In fact, I still do. I get my pleasure once every two months. It feels so great! I feel refreshed after having it. I can put some clothes in it and I like to feel the good smell coming out of me after my monthly shower. It feels great! Hey James, why did you change your avatar, Mister? It looked so nice, the Kiss-Panda! Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Hi munhozmib. Hahahaha. Monthly shower?? Champion effort! Simple pelasure in life rule the rosst I say! I changed back from the KISS Panda because I just couldn't get used to seeing it there all the time. It just didn't feel right to me and even looked sort of evil! lol. I did change to a black background for my chameleon tail though, so maybe this is a good happy medium. Thanks for the response and good luck with your next shower in January!

Hey there! The Panda Kiss certainly had that evil look. It is like if he was angry or something like that. Why don't ya get a Panda using a Christmas "thing-that-goes-in-the-head, which-is-not-called-hat-but-I-don't-know-the-name"? January... I am unsure if I'll shower on the first or in the 30th.

Christmas Panda - A Panda wearing a Christmas... Hat?
Yes, the hat! Look at the picture. That is what I meant. I thought it wasn't called hat, lol. A Panda with chameleon tail would do fine. It would mean that the chameleon had new skills to hide himself.

Every time i buy new white snickers i have the same feeling - they are so white and shine and smell like new. On a funnier note - i get the same feeling when i make my first snowball in the winter and hit someone with it - for the last 2 years my girlfriend had the honor of getting to know it better (the snowball that is )

Goodness me elitess. When you said "white snickers" I thought you may have been referring to a new white chocholate version of the snickers bar and I got all excited! I used to get pretty excited myself when I was given new sneakers as a child and I especially remember a pair of Reebok basketball boots I once received that I treated like royalty. I would LOVE to get into a snowball fight one day too. Do me a favour please and whn you hit someone with that first snowball, imagine it's me! lol. Thanks for the response and I hope for your sake that your girlfriend doesn't suddenly get inspired to learn how to throw snowballs BACK better than ever before!

This is interesting to know torchablazed! Maybe I should approach the toothbrush companies and tell them that I can increase their sales for a fee? Thanks for the response and I too hope you find a marvellous new toothbrush with someone even more marvellous attached to highlight the festive season and beyond!

Even though I don't drink coffee, I love opening the can every morning. I keep an open can just so I can go in and sniff it in the mornings.*L* No, really, I get up and make 3 or 4 cups for Hubby every morning. I will linger over the open can for a few minutes, just for the aroma. I also like opening a new bar of soap. My Mom makes the best smelling soaps. Sometimes, I just open the linen closet, where I store my soaps, just to get a whiff of them. And, I like opening my shampoo bottle for a refreshing sensation. Sometimes, I even go to the cabinet and get out a few of the spices, open them, and inhale. I have a body spray that I absolutely love. Sometimes, I will just spray it into the air in my bedroom, just because. Some people like touching things, feeling the sensation of different textures, and such. Me, I am a smell freak.*L*

You're a sniffaholic Bo! Have you considered a night job at the airport checking luggage? lol. I don't have a coffee machine/brewer at the moment, but even the smell of instant coffee the first time you peel back the foil is pretty damn good! Soaps are neither here nor there for me, but The Body Shop make this grapefruit soap that I love the smell of. So soaps, jewellery, beads..... What a creative family you all are then! Thanks for sharing all of these delights and if I am feeling a bit flat I may just try sniffing the shampoo myself. I like the sound of experiencing a refreshing sensation!

* Crowd chimes in unison..... HI BO! WELCOME! Even merchandizers and businesses/retailers use certain aroma's to help inspire certain behaviours in people, so I can relate to you using the smells of certain things to aide you while working. I love the smell of citrus too. It is very uplifting! Oooooh and vanilla!

I guess it would depend on the scent of the shampoo, James. I just like the way mine smells. It is kind of citrusy. I love the smell of lemons, limes, grapefruit...................oh, yeah, I have several bottles of essential oils that I will open and put a drop on a cotton ball and put it on the table beside me when I am working. It helps to open up my mind to creativity. Hi, my name is Bo, and I am a sniffaholic!

You know my sinful affair with coffee... Right now, all I could think of are freshly clean bed sheets. The smell just turns me on and I'd like to give it the best lay ever. Get it??? So will you be sharing the shower with this toothbrush as well, James?

Yes, the coffee affairs are know SaintAnne, but the sheets are certainly a new addition to the mix! So what happens if the BF brings in fresh, piping hot coffee to you and you are laying on freshly clean bed sheets then? (Don't answer that as I DO get your "lay" joke!) The shower will get the pleasure of this toothbrush's company eventually, once it has become a little bit worn and weathered. For now though, I will use this toothbrush at the mirror so I may witness all it's glory while using it! Thanks for the response, go have a coffee; and clean those bed sheets!
