Illinois governor arrested. Rod Blagojevich has been arrested on charges of conspiring to sell Barack Obama’s open Senate seat. also was charged with illegally threatening to withhold state assistance to Tribune Co., the owner of the Chicago Tribune, in the sale of Wrigley Field, according to a federal criminal complaint. In return for state assistance, Blagojevich allegedly wanted members of the paper's editorial board who had been critical of him fired.
Do you think there really is such a thing as an honest politician? Or does having power of any sort tend to corrupt a person after a while?

I saw the story when I logged into my yahoo email, but I had not read the story yet. I am sure it will make some people happy. I have heard that people were already trying to get rid of Blagojevich. I am not too sure about the honest politicians. If there are any I am sure it is not that many.

I think there are some honest politicians but that power tends to corrupt. At least, I hope Obama is honest because he does a very good job coming across as sincere and I don't want to think I am that naive.
In this case, I think Rod Blagojevich needs to be tried and hung. Well, figuratively speaking. They need to get rid of him. Once a politician goes bad, they seldom turn around as far as I can tell.
