As a child back in the 70s, I was highly influenced by the music my parents listened to. One of their all-time favorite groups was The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. They had a very unique sound for the time, mixing bluegrass with rock and country. I remember laying on the bed with my brother in the back of Dad's chevy van, listening to songs like If you wanna get to Heaven, Road to glory, E.E. Lawson and countless others. I am 40 years old now and still listen to their music. So, are there any other OMD fans out there, or am I the only one left?

No you are not the only one,I listen to many band of the time OMD, Thin Lizzy,Canned Heat and etc. but I also grew up in the 70's with older brothers listening to their music.a lot of kids haven't heard any of it. my 17 year old daughters favorite singer is Janis Joplin and she listens to several groups of that era. my 16 year old son listens to a bit of everything but prefers old Black Sabbath. I think it is only because, they where introduced to the music. so if you want to keep the real music alive you gotta share it with them. both of them are big fans of stevie ray, ya believe that

That's really awesome that your kids are fans of the music from that era, rick. I agree that we must share the music to fully be able to keep it alive. Great response and thank you.
