Do you still decorate the outside of your home for the holidays?

I have been hearing a lot of stories about people getting their decorations stolen. I have stopped decorating outside my house for that reason. Now I just put fairy lights around our large front window and an angel outlined in fairy lights in the middle.

We do not decorate outside the house. Its not that i dont want to its just a waste of time and money because we live in the middle of nowhere, nobody else is going to enjoy our hard work. so we just dont do it anymore. If more houses went up out here we would love to decorate so others could enjoy it. I know I enjoy looking at everyones yard when we go to town.

I totally agree with you, Mzplased. This is one reason we don't decorate our home for Halloween also. Our street has not street lights or side walks so we have no trick-or-treaters for Halloween. So why bother. I do enjoy looking at decorated homes in our city though and am glad some remain undaunted by potential thieves. :)

We live in the country on a dirt road. We know our neighbors and they know us, so if we aren't afraid to put any decorations out! lol! We do decorate a bit outside, and it's nice to see at Christmas, it illuminates the yard more so that if we're not sure if it's snowing or had been snowing, we can look at where we have the lights out and see if there's snow on the ground or not. I love Christmastime, It's such a great time of year!
