Friends, and Love, these two things are of major importance in one's life. I was recently reading a short story over the internet where one man loves a woman. Soon, that man's best friend falls in love with that woman. After a while, the man comes to know about it, he felt hurt, but still gave up his love for his friend. Moreover, he helps his friend in conquering the heart of the woman. Would you give up your love for your best friend? Will you regret it later?

No, I would not give up my husband for my best friend and she wouldn't give up hers for me either. But, then again, we're women and we see things differently than men do I guess. Ever since I was a teenager, girls respected their friend's relationships...no matter what they felt for a guy they would never tell their friend or the guy. You don't hurt your friend like that.

Yeah I agree with Spalladino, I am a woman and maybe I see things differently but I wouldn't give up my love for my best friend. I think that everyone deserves their own happiness and that my friend should love and respect me enough to know that I have found my own happiness, even if they are in love with the other person. If the situation were turned around I wouldn't expect my friend to do the same thing for me. So I wouldn't require it. There are certain lines, for the sake of sanity that should never be crossed and this is one of them. Amongst women, when another woman is in a relationship, you just don't cross those bounds. Eryn
