I agree, you need to see a dentist ASAP. Until you get there, you may want to try taking ibuprofen to help reduce any swelling and help reduce the pain. Oragel can temporarily numb the tooth. Sometimes, applying pressure and heat will ease a tootheache. Just put a really warm cloth on your face in the area of the tooth and apply a little pressure.
I went through horrible toothaches for over 5 years before I was finally able to go to the dentist. By then, they had to be pulled. I remember having to lay there, night after night with a hot, wet rag on my face constantly applying pressure, just for a bit of relief. Once the teeth were pulled, it was like an instant relief. No more pain.
Don't wait too long before going to the dentist though. The pain will only get worse. The absolute worse thing that the dentist can tell you is that it has to be pulled, and if that is the case, once it is done, it will no longer hurt.

i have to agree with you on this one ibuprofen, aspirin, and thing to that nature help with inflammation and that is a good thing whne it comes to tooth aches i have been having trouble with my wisdom teeth and it hurts like hell at times but the dentist wont pull it he wants to do a root canal but i dont want that done and i told him so but with medicaid if they can save it they have no choice i did need no stupid wisdom tooth it dont make me wise lol ooh i remeber the hot rag, pressure so i know what you went through sometimes it gets so bad that you have a ear ache and it travels up the side of your face and hurst like hell i had to take a nerve pill (neurotin) to numb the nerve ooh just thinking about it makes my mouth hurts

The little black dot is decay and chances are that the decay has reached the nerve of the tooth which is why it hurts. If you don't go to the dentist it will only get worse. If tooth decay is caught early enough you will only need to have it drilled out and a filling put in. If you wait too long you could end up needing a root canal, which is expensive or you will lose the tooth. You need to take care of this soon.

Believe me, the more you put off going to the dentist, the more it will spoil and rot th other teeth too. That little dot is aa cavity and it may have got so deep so as to expose the nerve. The pain I know it very terrible, so go and get it treated to immediately. We all hate to go to the dentist, but we have to. if you are scared, take somebody with you and go. Relax on the dentists chair. We have a habit of becoming tight, which adds to the tension. close your eyes and let the dentist do what is to be done. You can tell him to give you a local anaesthetic injiection in the gums so you dont feel the pain when he is working on the tooth. Please please dont neglect it. I have suffred very much due to neglection.

Hi there!
Oh i feel sorry for your toothache.
maybe all i can say is that, try to gargle warm water with salt.
Not too haot water and not too salty solution. it will certainly kill the bacteria in your mouth.
hope it could help.
have a nice day!
