What a start to the week. I wonder .......

Let me tell ya it has been a horrbile start to the week. Firstly yesterday which was Monday I was in a car accident. Here in Manitoba we got a dump of snow and the streets are slick and very icy. So stopping is quite the challenge. My mom was driving and we were heading off to our favorite Chinese restraunt for some hot Wonton Soup. It was quite cold out as well. Well coming around a yeild which maybe we were going 10 - 15 km/hr we ended up rear ending the guy in front of us. Well no one was hurt and there was a little dent and crack in the guys bumper but out front end passenger side bumper is completly totalled. It sure upset my mom as she doesn't too well with these kinds of things and gets upset about it quite easily. However I have no idea what is going to happen with the car. And how much the damages are so we will have to wait and see about that. Well today rolls around which we are on Tuesday now and my mom comes home tonight and says are you ready. Well it's almost 8pm here and I'm thinking ready for what. "D" which is my brother called her and says that she needed to go home and pick me up. My brother was arrested. So anyway we head down to my brothers work to get him and find out what is going on. He got pulled over for speeding. 101km in a 70km zone. Which he was not charged for. What got them was failing to produce his licence. Anyway he has a valid drivers licence but failing to produce one and being a truck driver you are suppose to know better. So he got fined $300 for failing to produce a licence. How Manitoba charges people they will get you on the highest maxium charge that they can nail you with. So with no seatbelt, failing to produce a valid drivers licence, speeding, and failing to update his log book (which he was working) he only got the failing to produce a licence. Which all in all wasn't too bad. He also was sent home since he was suspended for 8 hours so that is why I had to go and pick up the truck to bring it home. I am starting to wonder that I am going to have a bad week. I wonder what could happen tomorrow?

I was only thinking that way since they always say things happen in three. So I am just waiting for that third one to come out. I'm really hating this weather thats for sure. And by the looks of this morning we got more snow. Probably gonna be icy again. But one thing is that Manitoba doesn't have too many good drivers. LOL

LMAO I don't think there are many good drivers anywhere LOL I don't understand why so many of these people get their license. I hope the third just doesn't happen.

I totally agree. Have you seen some drivers? I often wonder what right minded person would give them a license.

nichole, First of all, when you start a week off like that, never ask or even wonder what could happen next. As soon as you do, you find out. Those are the kind of days that I'd like to go home, crawl into bed and when I think I'm ready get back up and start over. Now notice I said I'd like to because I have never had the opportunity to do it. But if ever possible, DO IT!! leenie

Yes I think I jinxed myself. Wednesday was a good day but Thursday my brother ended up in the hospital. It`s nothing serious thankfully. But this should be the last of it. They do run in three`s right.

Well bad things happen only in threes they say, so you have one more bad thing to go wrong and that will be all. I do hope the water heater or the furnace does not die or the car can't start. Anyway I have those Manitoba rules. When one of our sons started to drive, he got in an accident and he hit the guy on the wrong side. It took about five years to get off the demerit. And it was not that much, just a dent. Your brother should have had on his seatbeat. Tsk tsk tks. shame on him.

LOL the funny thing was that the car didn't start last week. But that happens sometimes. Not really a big deal at all. It's really funny how the law is thats for sure but then I see the cops breaking them all the time. In my brothers defence for not wearing his seatbelt I am the same way. Both my brother and I have been in car accidents that the seatbelt was not going to help us. For instance my brothers accident the belt would of sliced him in half and with my accident it cut so deep into my hip that I now have muscle problems. The paramedics on the scene of both accidents told us we were lucky to be alive and our cases were exceptional for not saving our lives. So now we don't wear our seatbelts because of our own experiences.

Hmm.. yup.. you sure seem to have had your bit of bad luck. But bad luck makes us strong too, doesn't it? And relax, tough times never last; tough people do. I plagiarized that line from somewhere. :) Tomorrow will be a much better day. Cheers and happy mylotting

I can honestly say that it does make you strong. When in rough times you learn to cope with it and take it in strides. The following day which was Wednesday was better. But my 3rd and finally happened yesterday (Thursday) my brother had to go to the hospital due to stress and he had a numb face. Thought he was having a stroke. But thankfully that didn`t happen. It was stress induced which is early stages of shingles. But we are keeping his stress down and making things a little easier on him.

Sorry to hear that you're having a bad week. I've had times like that when you wonder just what else can go wrong. Just remember, things are going to get better. Take it one day at a time and try and just take it all in stride.

I'm just waiting for the third one to come. They always say things happen in three's so I'm just waiting for it. I know they will get better. You go one step forward and always two back.

I am glad that you and your mother plus the person in the other car were not injured. As for your week, it has got to get better for you, at least I sure hope it does.

I am thankful that we are all ok too. My mom and I both have had some bad accidents and have always been injured in them. So this was a good one. I hope the week gets better. Fingers crossed.
