Do you use Aloe Vera for skin problems and such?I wrote an article about the different uses of Aloe Vera. You can read more about it here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1041506/do_you_know_the_uses_for_fresh_aloe.html?page=2&cat=5 I've personally used Aloe Vera for burns. It seems to really take the pain away and seems to help it heal faster. I've tried it on cuts and scratches too. It does seem to have a lot of healing qualities. What do you use Aloe Vera gel for? Have a great day! Char

Aloe Vera is GREAT for ANY burn!!! I find it extremely soothing for sunburns!!! I've also use it on cuts & scratches & was pleased with the results. I tend to have a problem with dry skin on my legs during the winter. I think it is from running the heater in my car while driving. Around my ankles is the worst. I have found that dryness to be a LOT less if I use Aloe Vera regularly!!!

Use aloe vera gel to treat the areas of the scalp that are going bald. Aloe vera contains an enzyme that helps promote new hair growth for some people. The gel can be applied directly to the scalp, as aloe vera typically has no side effects. Make an aloe vera shampoo. When combined with wheat germ oil and coconut milk, aloe vera gel makes a shampoo to promote hair growth. Use the shampoo as often as you wash your hair. Use aloe vera lotion alone or in addition to aloe vera gel. When not used as a shampoo, aloe vera lotion works to revitalize the hair and the scalp to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. Aloe vera lotion is most readily available online. Combine aloe vera therapies with a balanced low-fat, low-protein diet. Diets high in fat and animal protein cause a number of medical reactions that lead to hair loss.

That's an excellent article. I read it and I love it. The skin uses are more than I realized. I just thought it was only for burns and skin problems. But wrinkles, I'm getting them. Will have to give it a try. Thanks and take care.

I love aloe vera - we have some growing, and it's wonderful for sunburn and to soothe sore and dry skin. It also makes a lovely drink - I've bought the drink from the supermarket, and it's very refreshing. Aloe vera is a wonderful plant in so many ways.

I found some on the internet. 1. Body-Building Blocks Amino acids are our body’s building blocks. Eight which are essential and cannot be made by the body are found within the aloe plant! Drinking Aloe Vera Juice on a regular basis allows you to help maintain your health by replenishing your body naturally with these essential amino acids. 2. Anti-inflammatory Properties Aloe Vera Gel has 12 natural substances that have been shown to inhibit inflammation without side effects. Aloe may also support proper joint and muscle mobility. 3. Daily Dose of Vitamins Aloe Vera Gel includes Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E, Folic Acid and Niacin. The human body simply cannot store some of these vitamins; therefore we need to supplement them regularly through our diets. What better way than by drinking a daily dose of Aloe Vera Juice, made from pure Aloe Vera Gel, while at the same time building the body’s defense system naturally against oxidative stress! 4. Daily Dose of Minerals Some of the minerals found in aloe vera include calcium, sodium, iron, potassium, chromium, magnesium, manganese, copper, and zinc. What a powerful storehouse! We all know that adding foods to our diets with naturally occurring vitamins and minerals is recommended for overall health. Drinking Aloe Vera Gel is a natural and healthful way to replenish the body’s supply. 5. Collagen and Elastin Repair Aloe Vera can add a rich supply of building materials to produce and maintain healthy skin. The skin replenishes itself every 21 to 28 days. Using the nutritional building blocks of aloe vera, the skin can utilize these nutrients daily to help combat the effects of aging! 6. Provides Rapid Soothing Aloe Vera enhances fibroblast function. Fibroblast are those remarkable little cells responsible for collagen formation. They also assist in the soothing of minor burns, cuts, scrapes, sunburn, and skin irritations.
