What was the first item you've purchased online?

My first online purchase were some used books. I bought them cheaper than what I would have paid for if I'm going to buy them new in a bookstore. I was pretty nervous at first because I know that some of online stores (in multiply) are actually scams. What about you, what was your first purchase?

I think my first online purchase was for a software item. Of course, that was years ago. lol

I bought an extended battery for my O2 XDA II phone in eBay. The item was located in Hong Kong and the seller had a good reputation based from the feedback. It arrived in the Post Office a week or so after I did the purchase and it was working normally.

My very first online purchase was a cellphone accessory - a data cable for connecting my cellphone to the computer. It was from a local (Philippine) online auction site - it's still up, I believe (Bidshot). It was a good buy, but I'm not sure if I'm fortunate about that. Because of that positive first transaction, I then assumed that it would be the same for every transaction I made (I can be an idiot too). I made two purchases through the same site where I was shortchanged, and another one where I was totally scammed. I don't bother visiting the site anymore - I made some offers for sale there, but there were just too many bogus bidders. Waste of time.
